Abercrombie & Kent Philanthropy (AKP) is committed to working with local peoples and regional organizations to alleviate the effects of poverty, develop sound community health and conservation practices, and assist in mitigating global climate change. Bwindi Community Hospital
- Buhoma, Uganda
- This hospital, based in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest region of Uganda, provides basic health care for some of the poorest people in the world.

Friends of Conservation
- Masai Mara, Kenya
- This organization supports sustainable ways to alleviate the effects of global warming. Projects include engaging thousands of Maasai students each year in environmental activities and leading reforestation efforts in the Greater Masai Mara region.

Deepalaya School
- New Delhi, India
- With assistance from AKP, destitute and handicapped students learn vocational skills for employment in computers, beauty culture, air-conditioning/refrigeration and electronics.

- Siem Reap, Cambodia
- By constructing simple wells, this project provides families and local communities in rural Cambodia with access to clean, bacteria-free water.

Rapa Nui 'A Pó Youth Involvement Program
- Easter Island, Chile
- High school students on Easter Island are taught about their home's cultural heritage and introduced to the tools of archaeology.
