Ntungamo Primary School
Uganda
AKP Project Since 2019

AKP helps ensure children learn in a suitable environment
Overview
Ntungamo Primary School, found in the southern sector of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, serves a total of 437 students. Although assisted by the government, the resources provided are not sufficient to support the school's development and growth.
AKP’s initial assessment of the school revealed major challenges, including unsuitable learning spaces, lack of basic school supplies and uniforms, and inability to readily access clean water. In 2019, AKP initiated support of Ntungamo with construction of a new library, as well as providing the school with learning resources and clean water.
