A&K Australia Collects Bikes for Bike Shop in Tanzania

Abercrombie & Kent Philanthropy Australia is arranging the shipment of a container of second-hand bikes and biking paraphernalia (helmets, pumps, spare parts etc.) to AKP’s Dumma Wajane Bike Shop in Tanzania and we need your help!

This is a great chance to clear out the garage and donate your used bikes to a fantastic cause. Bikes should be in reasonable working order and their condition will be assessed at time of drop off. We are hoping to collect around 430 bikes and we hope you’ll get on board.

AKP’s Duuma Wajane Bike Shop employs four women who have gone through extensive training to become bike mechanics and operate their own business enterprise. Through this female-driven model, AKP empowers women to experience a new field of skills, earn their own income, and help break the social construct of gender.

To help us with planning please advise in the event comments how many bikes and/or what biking paraphernalia (helmets, pumps, spare parts etc.) you can contribute.
